Inky and Scrappy: Inky and Scrappy's Stamp Series -Lawn Fawn's Pool Party- Card 2- A Fast Shaker Card w/ Swimming Cat

The use of patterned paper and a sticker sentiment really made this shaker come together super fast with that shaped shaker pouch. How cool is that swimming cat?! So fun to move it around in the pool and I'm sure it will be a hit with it's recipient.

I only added the sunscreen bottle from the At The Beach Set this time, but I like the little bit of extra variety it gives by mixing and matching. A cool drink would have worked well on this one, too, or sticking with just the Pool Party Set I could have gone with another beach ball or snorkle.

The color guide below showcases the Ohuhu Bullet Nib markers I took on our weekend cabin trip in mid July. The color combos pair well with the Beach Day Paper Pack and a couple others. I will add those to the list as I use them. But for a reference it is nice to see what markers work well together and I usually add what paper pack inspires or coordinates with a swatch chart such as this. It makes finding blends I like or will work well together a lot simpler. I love Waffle Flowers Watercolor Swatches Stamps for this purpose. And I always stamp them on the paper I color on most with whatever medium I'm swatching out.

Sometimes the extra effort now saves more time and helps get me over creative block or shall I say laziness (I don't always like figuring out color combos, it takes time and energy and sometimes I just don't have much of either. Going back to past color combos help me to grab some markers and images and just enjoy the coloring process. It really takes the stress out of color matching. Even if I don't use the paper I originally swatched them out with, I know that they will blend well together.)

And finishing the inside of the card is so much easier when I have the stuff out and not have to go back and do it days or weeks or months down the road. I'm getting better at this part.
