Getting a New Look with Old Die-cuts

Let's be honest, we can't afford or store every new crafty thing that comes out.  I try to make purchases that I'm going to get more bang with for my buck.  Things like stand alone dies that I can use for more than a few cards or occasions are always a plus.  But do we need all the new things, if we can shop our personal stash to get a similar look?

I love finding more uses for what I have. I'm all about recycling...Reducing the bill at the craft store and Reusing what I already have to.  I shop my stash for card ideas I see with die-cuts all the time.  And I always feel excited when I don't have to wait to try something because I don't have a particular set.  I was totally inspired by all the new cards everyone is sharing in Lawn Fawnatics with LF's new Strawberry Patch stand alone dies.  But I can't get everything, and when I remembered the strawberry die from LF's Build a Cupcake set....Eureka! I can figure it out with what I have on hand.

I love how this one turned out.  And those berry tops on the letters are so Strawberry Shortcake-esque, I will be doing that again for sure.  I can smell that Strawberry doll from the 80s from here.
Shopped from my stash... Strawberry from Build-A-Cupcake LF, Fruit Basket, Flower, and "Vine" from LF Build-A-Basket, and the leaf is from LF Stitched Pumpkin Outline.
