Smile my Mud Puddle

First this is my ATC for our Sisterhood Swap. This is only my 2nd so go easy on me. I think I like the size, may have to get hooked on these too. Anyway. . . the rule was to get punchy with your punches- had to include punched items as a main part on the ATC. So Jane's fav color is lilac, thus the flowers in lilacs. I did some fun flurishes with ink resist and colorbox chalk inks. The ones that stayed white symbolize dreams or thoughts thus the word "dream" and the other green symbolizes real life or truth. Not what I had originally tended but I think it turned out okay.

This one goes for a challenge or so. The Sketch is from Friday Sketchers and the theme Anniversary is from SBS 18 Challenge which was perfect for me to get my Grandparents Anniversary Card done. I haven't been feeling to crafty lately so I was visiting Jane's Blog and saw the sketch and thought it was purfect. Thanks Jane for hooking me up. The rest you can see this is a printed Sarah Kay as I (pouting) still have not taken the plunge to buy them yet. But it is colored with the autumn palette from CTMH. As is all the cardstock- indian corn blue, barn red, Vineyard berry, and Chocolate from the Basic colletion. I distressed with scissor edge, sand paper and ink. I used the cuttle cirlce to emboss and chocolate big and little brads as well as organza ribbon.

This is what we got well I was creating. HAIL! We got 1 inch 62/100ths today and more to come tonight, hopefully now more hail. It was about quarter size at best but took out some of the small grain and made some holey corn leaves. Guess we were luck not to get more of a loss and everyone is safe and sound. Oh. . .

So I had this mud puddle smile at me tonight during milking. I wish I would have had my camera he was so cute, well both of them really. Jason and Jake were what else jumping in the mud puddles. They had to see how high they could make the water fly. John and I watched for the longest time and then put on our stern parent faces and told them not to get all wet and muddy. So they stopped and walked to a bigger puddle that we couldn't see. I knew where they were and watched them giggle and jump for the longest time. Well later Jake comes in the barn COVERED with mud (Jason had been throwing it at him) so if you can imagine a mud puddle or pie looking up at you with these very sweet blue eyes and a sheepish little grin that was Jake. He was too cute. So I hosed him down and John yummered at me cause I was just making him wetter. I got Jake all cleaned up and dry clothed, then Bud comes in. Wetter than Jake as he tried to clean himself off and not nearly as muddy. Daddy took the hose and hosed off his hands first and then his face, then totally soaked him with the hose. "Turn, Close your eyes, Turn. . ." I said are you having fun. Yup-- so he told me to stop with Jake but then hosed Bud and had all the fun. What a BOY!
