Mixed Media Card using Tim Holtz Distress Products & Ink Road Stamps' Boy Mom- Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommas!  Hope they appreciate all you do for them!

This one was a play session that just happened to turn into a mixed media card.  When one thing doesn't work or look as planned it's okay to deviate and then because those mugs were already cut and ready to go I needed a backdrop to star them on.  I love the end result.  Mixed media is just that a mix and jumble of all the things and often times looks like a hot mess till it just all ends up flowing.  It's one of my favorite techniques to do this time of the year... fieldwork makes for very short create time and long dry times in-between.
It's fun just adding a layer and knowing that I'll end up with something totally organic even if it looks like a disaster for the better part of the process.  It can take me weeks to get a finished result but I get to enjoy just playing even if it's only 5 minutes here or 15 minutes there.  Plus it gives me something to mull over while looking at black dirt all day.
