Fairy House- Two Lawn Fawn Platform Pop-ups Combined For A Shadow Box Effect

Lately, I've had time on my hands and am so very thankful for a hobby that I love.  It's even better when my creative mind is actually working.  I've got more ideas than I have time and energy, but this one just wouldn't let me ignore it. I knew I wanted to try and create the Platform Pop-Up from Lawn Fawn into a top and bottom finished piece.  I just didn't expect it to turn out this awesome.  I made a Pop-up with this woodgrain cardstock from Envelopes.com (see picture below) and it got me thinking a scene in-between two of them would look so cool.

Cue the inspiration.  Granted I was thinking simpler and not quiet as tall with maybe bugs on branches, squirrels getting ready for winter, or even mice in the kitchen. Gnome homes popped in my head and then OH FAIRIES!  So I searched Pinterest for fairy house art and found inspiration in an image that was more enchanted forest with lanterns and that was the spark I needed to piece together this "card".

If you're interested in the process watch the YouTube video. (Still not loving voice over, but I don't know how else to explain it without it.😅) And it's more of a have to see it to understand as I don't think I could type out the step by step. It was a 6 hour process from start to finish.

If you made it this far, I'm impressed.  Thanks for sticking with me and seeing this brainchild come to life. I love when my imagination can actually come to fruitation.  This one turned out way better than I could have imagined.  I'm in love and don't think this one is going anywhere soon.  It's one of those pieces of art that I won't be ready to part with for a long while if ever.  Of course the next double platform pop-up will probably be made with someone in mind so it'll be easier to part with.

Keep getting inky,
Jaime
